Does Hypnosis work?

When I 1st started to study the art of positive thinking and being confident I have to admit at 1st I would not even consider Hypnosis I wouldn't bother even looking into the thought of it. I thought that it was just nonsense. I mean I've watched the stuff on television where they ask you to look into there eyes and suddenly you are under. I know a lot of people are the same and probably with good reason as well. There are people out there that could take advantage of this. But 99% of stuff we watch on television is garbage, you will not be hypnotized by a professional in this way. We are also hypnotized to do things everyday. I'm sure you've watched advertisements on the TV and Billboards?

Well if you have that's a form of Hypnotism. They used to play advertisements in the cinema to make us buy popcorn and sweets. It used to only play to our unconscious mind so we wouldn't notice it. Thankfully that is now deemed to be illegal and I hope there is no cinema left that is playing these advertisements. So if they can hypnotize us for a bad purpose then can't we be hypnotized for a good purpose?

Makes you wonder huh? Well that is what made me change my mind and buy my 1st book on Hypnotism. It's called "I can change your life in 7 days" By Paul McKenna. I have recently finished reading this book and as positive and confident that I knew and thought I were, there turns out there were stuff deep rooted from my childhood that were still holding me back. Only Hypnotism could've brought them to the surface and, yes I feel even better than I did before. As much knowledge that I have discovered over my 6 years of study I have never learned as much in all those years than I have in the past 7 days. The man is a genius.

So to my point, I have a great amount of knowledge but what I have now learned is that no one can teach us it all. Choose to learn confidence from more than 1 even more than 5 people and you are almost guaranteed to have learned more than those who don't. If you are skeptical about hypnotism just give it a try and if it doesn't work for you at least you have tried and won't have to wonder, what if??? I believe either way it will be the best decision you have ever made.

What are you worth?

What do you think you are worth both in terms of happiness and income? It's often what we think about ourselves that determine what other people think of us also. If you think that you don't deserve happiness then guess what you get? That's right a life of misery and underachievement. You need to change how you think of yourself before you can expect people to start respecting you.

The problem is how and where do we start to change how we think of ourselves. The problem here is how we think of ourselves was most likely what our teachers, parents and anyone we looked up to when we were young told us we were. If we were told we were useless when we were a child we will begin to believe that and carry it into our adulthood. So in order to change how we feel about our self we must start  by imagining a bigger and better you and keep imagining this until you can clearly hear yourself, see yourself and even smell yourself.

Now I know this may sound ridiculous but this is tremendously effective and it does produce results. Try it and I promise your thoughts of yourself will change for the good dramatically and you will feel a lot better about yourself and how much your worth inside. Go on have some fun with this and find out what the real you looks like, then you can become what you were designed to be.

Using Books as an Inspiration

Most of us read books since you are reading this I can only presume that you are the same. Books are a great form of motivation if we read the right books. There are lots of motivating books out there and they are one of the best ways to get to where we would like to be in life. Biographies are an excellent form of inspiration that we may need in our lives. I believe that we get the best knowledge from reading about other people and it is the closest you can come to having a personal mentor in the field of your choice without having to spend thousands of dollars (Unless we know someone personally).

You may not already know that the best way to get to where you would like to be in your life is by following someone who is already there. For example if you want to be a great business entrepreneur you may try to copy what Theo Paphitis has done. Most of us do not have the money to pay to have the likes of Theo teach us to become just like himself. But we do have the money to buy his biography (which by the way is a great read and I would highly recommend it). So books can give us the most knowledge in our chosen field that most of us can afford. No matter how you learn to become what you want I can put all my money on the fact that you will make mistakes, everyone does so you will too. When the inevitable does happen then treat the temporally failure as your friend and learn from it. The good new is that we learn more from our mistakes than any other form of studying because we feel pain with failure therefore it stays in our head so we can avoid it in the future.

Let's Build A New Tomorrow Today!

People tend to go around dreaming of a better future. You most likely do it everyday, you might think about having a big yacht, a fancy car and living in a big mansion. Or maybe you are living alone and you are dreaming of having the perfect family with a couple of kids and maybe as dog or two. Well whatever your dream is, I am here to tell you that it won't happen, you will never live your dream! Confused how can someone who is supposed to think so positively be saying something so negative? My answer is so simple. You will NOT achieve your dreams end result because you need to start 1st. You need to take action to get to the end. For example you can dream about going on a holiday to hmmm let's say Barbados, but you 1st need to take action to get there. So 1st you need to book your holiday and probably a hotel, next you most likely will need to save some spending money (unless you already have savings), then you need to get up on the day and catch your flight. Only once you do that will you get there. Sounds obvious doesn't it? Well it is, but people just go through life thinking that their dreams will just become a reality and therefore they never get the chance to live their dreams.

The reason I believe for people never achieving there dreams is because of two things, which are:

  1. They are too lazy to put the necessary effort into achieving their dreams
  2. They lack the necessary knowledge on where to start to accomplish their dreams
If you come into the 1st of the two then before you can achieve any of your dreams you must 1st stop being so lazy and I have bad news for you. The news is, only you can do more and help yourself achieve your dreams no one else can achieve your dreams for you, my advice would be to get off of your backside and start achieving goals 1st and then you can chase your dream.  If you lack the necessary knowledge to achieve your dreams, well you've come to the right place because I am here to help you. Well if you are ready fasten your seat belts and lets start achieving our dreams.

first things first we need to start with the basics and that is the little things that we do everyday can change everything in the long run. The road we go down, the things we buy and even the people we talk to can change who we are and ultimately who we become. Everything that you do today will change what will happen tomorrow. So start by making choices now. Make decisions that will ultimately lead to your dream. If you need the certifications or the specialized knowledge to become the CEO at you job and that is your dream then start by studying today. Don't put it off until tomorrow because the sooner you start the sooner your dream will become reality. One tip of mine is if you need specialized knowledge the web is full of it. Just search on Google and you will get a few good pieces of info while you may be waiting for a Book or DVD being delivered.

Next it's time to start making some Goals. Now I went over making Goals in another post so I won't go over it all again here. But Goals are one of the most important things in making our dreams become reality. If you don't have Goals then I can almost guarantee that you won't live your dream. Even if you got your yacht by winning the lottery there is a chance that your dream will become your nightmare. The reason being is everything you have will become boring eventually, that's why making goals is so important. We should live our lives by making goals and then achieving them. This will make our lives more interesting and I can guarantee that you will not ever have the chance to be bored. If you do then your goals must be too easy to accomplish. Our goals must be challenging or they will become boring. We should always challenge ourselves because then we will learn what our limits are and always want to get going.

This is the ultimate success formula that will get you on the path to achieving your Dreams, I believe everyone has a Dream and if you don't it's about time you thought of one. Why live our lives if we have nothing to dream of? I used to hate living my life the same everyday, that is why I decided to become a motivator. I want to help people like yourself because I take great pleasure in not only helping people but knowing that I have the knowledge to help people. Let me share with you my biggest dream and one that I am on the 1st steps to achieving which is to hold World Wide Seminars on the topics discussed on this Blog. One day I will see my biggest dream become reality, because I have the right resources and the determination to make my dream become reality, the biggest question I have for you ,DO YOU?

The Cost Of Failure.

Most people live life as a failure. In there heads the can not achieve their goals so they go to a job they don't like, they go home to their 'Homes' that they all hate and the drive long distances in a car they all hate. So the question you might be asking yourself right now is why? Why live their lives like this if anyone can achieve success in their lives? The answer is quite simple they have conditioned themselves to believe that they are not good enough to live the lives of their dreams. They believe that they need degrees, and money to achieve what they need. Although degrees may certainly help in some circumstances they are not necessary. Many people have exploded their financial income with little or no qualifications, such as Anthony Robbins, Theo Paphitis, Bill Gates and many many more. In fact I believe that self study such as books and even the Web may be a better way to learn than University and college.

A very famous author once said "what ever the mind can see and believe the mind can achieve". A phrase that has stuck into my head ever since. I recommend that you read his book 'Think and grow rich' you can purchase it at amazon.com. This is so true because when you have a burning desire so strong that you can almost smell it as if it were already in your possession you will go to extraordinary lengths in order to achieve what you desire so much. Your mind attracts what your mind keeps thinking about. The same happens if you keep your mind thinking about your debts and how bad you life is. You will keep getting the same of what you have already got.

So how can we change what we keep thinking about?  The answer is simple but achieving the results requires dedication. But do your dreams not deserve some dedication on your part? I believe that all my dreams deserve all the dedication that I can give to them and so do yours. If you can believe that you will one day acquire riches then it will become true. The mind seems to attract what it thinks of most like some kind of magnetic force. The problem is that it requires a lot of exercise on your part to make your thoughts always believe you can and will achieve what you dream of achieving. If you can do that then you will most certainly achieve your dreams. Don't ever allow yourselves to fail, if you don't give up you cannot have failed because you have not finished yet.

Making Decisions

How many times have you been let down? Maybe you went to an interview and got turned down for the job, maybe the girl/boy you liked said no when you asked them out? We all make decisions everyday of our lives whether good or bad. Most of us make bad decisions we allow ourselves to go through our lives without consciously making our decisions we don't even think we make them. In other worlds we make our surroundings make our decisions for us. For example we allow our surrounding to make us get upset, our job our family life and maybe even our friends and acquaintances. If we become upset with these things we have made a decision to tolerate them. Until you wake up one morning and (decide) enough is enough we make the decision to remain as we are. Most likely because that is as far as our comfort zone takes us.

Everything we decide to do in our lives has a bigger impact on our lives than most of us know. When we are lost we may come to a two way junction with an option to turn left or right. What ever way we decide to turn, that way is the way we choose to take in life. Ultimately either way we choose will change our lives in some way or another whether good or bad. The same is true for relationships and career opportunities etc.

So how do we make the right decisions? There is no way to be 100% positive if something is the right decision or the wrong decision but one tip is don't let yourself think too long and hard to make a decision just take the decision and then and I can't stress this hard enough TAKE ACTION. When we decide on something that we will do if we take action we have taking the biggest step most likely the most difficult step. Once we take action do not be afraid to change how you are making something work it's the result you care about, the end result is what we are after. Not how you will get there.

Every now and then you will make bad decisions everyone does but bad decisions are not bad decisions. Sounds stupid doesn't it? Well it's true because they teach us more in the long term than good decision can teach us. Why because bad decisions teach us what not to do again they teach us what to try or what not to try next time. So don't beat yourself up about taking a bad decision, instead make another decision and learn from your mistakes.

Decisions may be hard to make at 1st but the great new is making decisions is just like taking up weight lifting. What do I mean? When you start weight lifting you can't just jump straight in and lift an 80kg weight and if you do you will hurt yourself. You have to start small and exercise your muscles then weight lifting will become easier over time. Then and only then can we lift heavier weights. The same is true with decisions. You can start small and build yourself up, get yourself used to making decisions. But most importantly make sure you make decisions often. The more we make decisions the easier we will find making decisions.

So remember our decisions shape who and where we are in our lives. If you find yourself hating your life then it is about time to make better decisions start your road to recovery now and TAKE ACTION. I can't do it for you, you have to help yourself and I wish you good luck...

A life of positivity Versus A life of negetivity.

This is where you have to make a choice of what you want in your life or from your life? Do you want a big car, big house, the promotion at work that you deserve, lots of friends (real friends) and a great wife/husband with maybe even a cozy little family? Or do you want to live in fear of the tax man, the bailiffs, have a small shack for a house, be a widow, with only friends that will use you and a dead end job that you work your ass off at without any recognition from your colleagues or your boss?

Neither of these maybe exactly what you want in life but I could probably place my life on the fact that there is no doubt that you would prefer the 1st option (who wouldn't?). If you would prefer to live in fear of the bailiffs then I seriously think you should consider checking in with a psychiatrist. I'm serious there because myself and 99.9% of people would think of this as the nightmare of all nightmares.

the great thing is that no matter who you are, what you look like how old you are, or how much money you currently have in you bank account you can choose to live like either of these examples. How can you do that you may be asking me? By making a CHOICE. A choice to be positive in everything that you do. Go to work with a smile on your face today and feel the difference it makes, don't be so negative when you 1st go in. Go in upbeat and greet your co workers with a pleasantry and a smile. By doing this you maybe surprised with the reaction from your co workers and hell it may even rub onto them. You will feel better and happier within yourself not to mention the benefits that your co workers will gain form your upbeat attitude.

Every action we do we do when we make a decision to do it. Every decision we make shapes our lives. For example if we decide to go through your life with a negative attitude then we will get poor results because we won't believe in the things that we are doing. We won't believe that we can achieve any goals or challenges that are both given to us or we make ourselves. On the other hand if we choose to be positive in everything that we do then we can learn to expect good positive results with everything that we do.

If we can change our thoughts to be positive almost all of the time then we should and will get positive results. But we can only learn to think positively through habit, if we are negative in life this is through habit also. To change one habit the easiest way to do this is by replacing it with another habit. In this case change your negative thoughts with positive thoughts. So how do we turn positive thoughts into being a habit that we will also do subconsciously? The answer is simple, through repetition. If we repeat things over and over again we will start to believe and this is what you must learn to do, you must learn to believe. You will believe if you try to be positive for a couple of days that being positive can change your surroundings for the better. Just try it for a couple of days and if you don't see a difference in your life then by all means you can throw in the towel and say that I have being speaking crap. But I can guarantee 100% that you will notice a difference if you keep your eyes open to it. Whether it's in your own life or the way people act towards you, you will see the benefits of thinking and acting positively in everything that you do.

So back to our main point, the man or woman that gains the benefits from everything that they do in there lives is the man or woman that has gone through life with a positive mental attitude. Those who sit and whinge about how life has throwing them a bad hand and they have no luck are doomed to fail forever. They will never succeed in anything that they want to succeed in because they have stuck in there head that they will fail. If we believe that we will succeed then we 100% will find a way to succeed. No matter if we are dealt with temporally failure, we will find another way to succeed until we have what we want. So never give up and think positively with everything that you do.

When you feel down...

Everyone feels down sometimes no matter how positive they are there will come a day when nothing seems to be going their way. When this day comes to you, you may well feel like throwing the towel in and saying whats the point? Well simply don't give in to your urge to quit, it is easy to quit and anything that comes easily to us tends to be bad. Nothing should come easily because then everyone would be rich and that couldn't work. Life has to be made to be fun and if things come so easily then it would just be plain boring, we wouldn't have to do anything, we would just sit in front of the television knowing what was happening elsewhere and where would the enjoyment be in that?

When you feel so down and maybe feel negative about everyone and everything, take a step back and think about it for a moment. Think of a happy time in your life when you succeeded. It doesn't have to be about a major success if you can't think of one it could maybe be a great goal you scored in football maybe even when you 1st met the love of your life. Anything you have done good at is a success. Zone into your happy zone and force yourself to smile. Keep smiling even if you want to scream just smile and think of your success you should find yourself more calm in a couple of minutes and be ready to face them tough challenges that were getting you down so badly just a couple of minutes before. Always remember no matter how bad today is today, tomorrow is another day and no two days are ever the same. Think about it yesterday was not the same as today was it? Unless you are in a jail cell in which case I ask the question, how are you managing to read this?

Remember challenges are your friend they make life enjoyable and although you may not think you can accomplish certain challenges that life throws at you, you CAN nothing is impossible. YOU CAN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN!!! Sometimes success is at the end of temporarily defeat, keep trying no matter what, you can't be defeated if you never give up, can you?

My Number One Tip

GOALS, GOALS GOALS, oh and did I say already GOALS!!!!!

If we want to achieve anything in life we must set our self Goals. They must always challenge our abilities but they must also be achievable. Don't set a goal such as I will go down to the shop in five minutes and buy a DVD that would be a useless goal and unless you have the flu and are in bed, that would hardly test your abilities. The opposite is also true don't set a goal such as I will earn £100,000 by this time tomorrow unless you are Bill Gates then you will most likely fall massively short of achieving your goal.

What kind of goals you should set yourself depend on how an accomplished person you are and will vary massively from person to person depending on your knowledge, Income levels and Occupation. I can not stress the fact that the goals you should be setting yourself should be difficult to achieve but on the other hand achievable.

Why should we set Goals to increase our confidence levels? Simple although it may not already be obvious to you, the more we achieve then the more confident of ourselves we shall become. Once we set these goals they should be planned out, we must plan on how we will achieve the outcome that we long for. If we can plan well we will have more chance to achieve our goal. Once we have achieved our goal it is time to set a new goal and keep going after that. After you achieve your 1st goal you should already notice your confidence increasing.

So what happens if I fail with my goal? Sadly your confidence will take a knock there is no way of avoiding this. But know that everyone fails no matter who they are. The most successful people fail, The entrepreneur 'theo Pathitis' failed in business before, but initial failure is NOT permanent. If at 1st you fail try and try again until you succeed. If after 3 or more times you still fail, look at your goal and maybe it could be worth making it easier to achieve. It maybe that the goal is temporally out of your reach, so try and make your goal easier to achieve. If you set a target of increasing your income by£5000 in one month either increase the time limit by one or more months or maybe adjust the amount to £2500 or £1000. If you pass this time it should make your initial goal easier to accomplish.

So go out and set yourself some goals not only does it increase your confidence ten fold (when you succeed) it can also be a lot of fun.

Believe in yourself

Self-confidence can only come to you through habit. What I mean by this is self-confidence can only be acquired by repeatedly doing things that make you believe in yourself. If you can lie to yourself and repeat it every hour for a whole week the chances are you will begin to believe the lie is true. Well if that is true (which it is) then that means if we tell ourselves something over and over again then we will begin to believe it. This is how we can teach ourselves to be confident, by repeatedly thinking or speaking of things that make us positive.

So what can you do that is positive. First and probably the most important of all the things you can do to make your self more confident is to smile. Even when you don't feel like you want to smile try it, it can't hurt you so why not? It has been proven that if you smile even it is a false smile, a chemical gets released into the brain that makes you more happy. So smiling not only can make you more confident, smiling can also help against depression.

Secondly you need to start ignoring people especially your parents. Now I do not mean ignore everything that you are told but you will have to learn what to listen to and which to ignore. Phrases like, don't be so stupid and that will never work, do the most harm to your confidence. Most people do not even realize that they cause their kids all sorts of harm by saying these types of things to them. When you hear somebody using these phrases, either plug your ears or walk away.

If you just practice these two techniques then I can guarantee you will begin to feel more confident within a couple of weeks, but if you stop once your feeling more confident of yourself you will lose your confidence just as quickly. Remember to keep at it and keep coming back here to get more hints and tips to get you on the road to recovery. I recommend that you come back every week for new techniques that were not available before.

Who I am, and who You are...

So you woke up one morning and you thought to yourself, I could be so much more, or did you you wake up after a good dream and wish you hadn't, as you liked the dream more than the life you currently have??? If this sounds like you it's about time you decided to change your life. Now before you decide to jump right in and start a business either online or offline STOP AND THINK...

The chances are money will not make you love life, why? Simple you don't need money to like your life. Sure money helps, it helps a lot in fact. But it can't change your perception of yourself or your friends, no matter how much money you have if you don't like yourself or those people around you, you will still dislike them after acquiring some riches. After all the 1st key to acquiring riches is having the right mindset. How can you expect to have the right mindset when all you have is burning hate for who you've become?
I don't believe that anyone can or will become a (successful) entrepreneur if they don't a) like themselves and b) don't believe in themselves. That's why I'm going to help you.

So before we get started let me tell you a bit about myself quickly. My name is Ryan McCormack and at the time of writing I am 25 years of age. I don't have a fancy Job, quite the opposite, I work for Tesco Supermarket as a shelf stacker, I am currently starting up my own business, but that's for another blog. The one thing that sets me apart from you or who you think you are, is I believe in myself and actually like my life. I have two noisy kids who like to annoy me and live with my partner of 5 years who guess what? Likes to annoy me but I wouldn't have it any other way.

For around 6 years I have studied self change. I have both read and practiced self-confidence, after finding myself in the same situation as you back in 2005. Now that you have bothered to read this far shows me that you are serious about awakening the Sleeping Giant within. Well good for you and give yourself a pat on the back because I swear to you it will be the best decision you have ever made.
